Seth Ginther Appointed to State Committee
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Richmond, Va., July 29, 2002 -- M. Seth Ginther, an attorney in the Richmond, Va. office of Hirschler Fleischer, was
recently appointed by Attorney General Jerry Kilgore to the newly formed Advisory Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual
Assault. The Council, whose appointees include domestic violence survivors as well as representatives from the public and
private sectors, will conduct a series of community forums throughout Virginia designed to increase awareness and
understanding of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Commonwealth.
The Council panel will highlight the needs of victims and survivors and gather information to help shape public policy in
the future. A report on its findings will be submitted to the Attorney General in the fall of 2002.
Seth Ginther is a member of the firm’s litigation section, where he focuses his practice in business law. He received his
B.A. in political science from Virginia Tech and his J.D. from the T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of
Richmond, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Richmond Journal of Law and the Public Interest.
