A native of Richmond, Ryan Jenness is a principal in the firm's Real Estate section. Ryan began his practice over a decade ago in the vibrant Washington, D.C./Northern Virginia real estate market, returning to his hometown in early 2008. Ryan's practice focuses on commercial leasing, sales and acquisitions, and borrower representation.

- Extensive experience representing landlords and tenants in leasing office and retail space
- Represented landlord in drafting and negotiating a 280,000 square foot office lease in the West End of Henrico County
- Counseled developer of a large mixed-use project located on Richmond's waterfront, consisting of office, retail, restaurant, residential and marina space
- Represented developer of a mixed-use waterfront project in Woodbridge, Virginia
- Represented client in the sale of land in Chesterfield County to Costco, and the related development of the shopping center
- Represented large university in multiple retail leasing transactions

- Represented purchaser of a West End office building in Henrico County and handled the related loan assumption
- Represented purchaser of a large health and fitness facility in Chesterfield County
- Represented client in the sale of property in Fredericksburg leased by a national fabrics store
- Represented client in the sale of two land parcels in Fredericksburg, each to a national banking chain
- Represented client in the purchase of a West End retail building in Henrico County, leased at that time to a prominent clothing retailer
- Represented client in the sale of property in Fredericksburg leased by a national pharmacy chain
- Represented client in the sale of property in Fredericksburg leased by a national jewelry chain
- Represented client in the purchase of property in Fredericksburg ground leased by a national grocery chain
- Represented client in the purchase of a portfolio of three office buildings in the Dulles Corridor of Northern Virginia
